“Jamal has good size and explosiveness,” Florida Atlantic University head coach Howard Schnellenberger said. “He has good hands and is always a big play threat. As for his character, we know that he is a good student and has demonstrated his ability to lead both on and off the field.
“FAU is a very young program and Jamal’s selection is another validation towards the type of players that are in our program. We are happy for him to be a part of such a prestigious tournament and the first of its kind in football. FAU football players want to be the first to accomplish something and with this experience, Jamal will fit right in.”
